Breathing techniques can be incredibly effective for managing anxiety, stress, and even improving focus. Here are some simple and powerful breathing exercises to help you calm your mind:

  • How to do it:

    1. Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.

    2. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen.

    3. Slowly inhale through your nose, allowing your abdomen (not your chest) to rise as your lungs fill with air.

    4. Exhale slowly through your mouth, letting your abdomen fall.

    5. Repeat for 5-10 minutes, focusing on the rise and fall of your belly.

Why it works: It slows your heart rate and lowers blood pressure, signaling your body to relax.

Coherent Breathing

This technique focuses on breathing at a steady, rhythmic pace.

  • How to do it:

    1. Breathe in for 5 seconds.

    2. Breathe out for 5 seconds.

    3. Repeat this pattern for several minutes, aiming for 5 full breaths per minute.

Why it works: This slows your heart rate and helps you enter a state of calm focus.
